I guess i didnt realize that those signs deleted the word, but the people were shouting Accomadations!. Anyway, after i blogged, we walked around to get a feel for the area. We are staying in new town (literally Praha 2). So the currency here is like 15 czeck crowns for 1 dollar, so we had to get used to the crazy conversion rates. Anyway, we ended up just finding a grocery store and getting food then headed back for the night, nothing too exciting.
Day 2 featured lots of walking. We walked to old town (Praha 1), then walked along the river, saw some fancy bridge, and lots of buildings covered in gold relief, and about 2 churches per block the whole time. We then headed over to the jewish quarter of old praha (literally called jew town). There, churches were only 1 for every 2 blocks, with a synagogue every block! (gasp) But it was saturday, so all the jew shops were closed. So we are going to stop by there again today to see what the jew town has to offer. Anyway, we continued walking, seeing lots more pretty buildings, and eventually made it back to the hostel after 10 hours of walking, great fun! (but not for my aching feet). SO we plan on doing...more walking today, but it is noon and we havent left yet, so we cant do that much walking today!

Sorry I haven't blogged back the last couple of days...been very busy at work and home and every time I thought about typing a note something happened. You've been so good about blogging and I really appreciate and enjoy them. Kristen is in Croatia and we haven't heard from her since the
15th and are a bit concerned. Hopefully there will be some news soon.
Kristen said Prague was beautiful and a couple of Europeans I know from work have said the same. I know you miss having Mark with you. It sounded like you had some fun times with him there. How's the weather where you are? At least you are heading up to cooler countries. It is HOT here..has been in the 90's for the last week. I'm going to the farm today and hopefully will get a short ride in. If it feels too hot out there I'll give Beau a bath instead. Last night I had the girls from the office over for cards and fun. Keep enjoying your trip and keep blogging. I love "traveling" with you. You will have these memories the rest of your life! Hugs and kisses, Mom
Hello darling boy! :-D
I can't believe prague has a designated "jew town." That's kind of funny that they couldn't come up with a better, more original name.
I can't wait to see all your pictures! I feel like it's going to be a multi-part show when you get back.
The visit with my G-Ma was fine. She's still her old grumpy self sometimes, but she was excited to her about your travels so far. Oh yea and she sends a belated "Congrats" for graduating! :)
Mom and I drove back today and omg... it is so damn hot. I hope your mom and dad are taking advantage of the pool! The heat got up to 98 in some parts of the area. Tomorrow is supposed to be just as miserable. (Mom finally put the AC on because she knew that the dog, kittle, and I were suffering.)
Nothing else to report. Keep having oodles of fun! :) I love you so much! XOXO
